Had The Love Boat still been on the air in the 1990s, you can bet Bob Dylan would have shown up as a guest star; after all, he was all over television throughout the decade. The bootleg Highway of Diamonds, Vol. 2 compiles a dozen songs from those myriad tube appearances, highlighted by a bracing rendition of "Forever Young" performed with Bruce Springsteen during the 1995 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame concert -- equally appealing is a wry, wizened rendition of "Pancho and Lefty" captured at Willie Nelson's The Big Six-O celebration in 1993. While the bulk of material hails from the 1996 Prince's Trust Concert in London, highlighted by a blistering "Positively Fourth Street," the curios are the most fascinating, particularly the poignant "Restless Farewell," performed at the 1995 Frank Sinatra Tribute in Los Angeles. The scarcity of the material and the quality of the overall package make this a worthy addition to any serious Dylan enthusiast's collection.
