Drew's Famous Even More Party Music Review

by Heather Phares

Drew's Famous Even More Party Music collects re-recorded versions of disco, funk, hip-hop, pop, and rock hits like "Macho Man," "Joy to the World (Jeremiah Was a Bullfrog)," "Blame It on the Boogie," and "Midnight Madness." While most of these new renditions of these songs can't hold a candle to the originals (and the versions of "Jailhouse Rock," "Walk Like an Egyptian," and "Call Me" are especially limp), the covers of "Ladies' Night," "Fight for Your Right to Party," and "December 1963 (Oh What a Night)" are passable (although none of them will be mistaken for the real deals anytime soon). This isn't an outright dreadful collection, but a similarly themed compilation with original tracks would probably better suit the needs of most listeners.
