The existence of this compilation -- even after rubbing your eyes, picking it up, and staring at it for a couple minutes -- is tough to believe. The Class of 2005 set from party-planner Drew and his Hit Crew contains note-for-note renditions of songs that either fit with the graduation theme or are up with the times. It's assumed that high school graduates aren't that smart -- why else would Drew add parenthetical phrases to nearly every song, just to make sure the consumer knows what he or she will be getting? "School's Out" becomes "School's Out (For Summer)"; "If I Ain't Got You" becomes "If I Ain't Got You (Some People Live)"; "Lean Back" becomes "Lean Back (Do the Rockaway)." More importantly, the covers aren't pulled off very well. No one will mistake these versions for the originals. As a bonus, an "after party" sequence is tacked to the end, containing "party music mixed by club DJs from around the world." For all that is known, Drew's nephew is responsible for each track.
