The Drew's Famous people are at it again with another collection of "Hawaiian"-themed party songs performed by their intrepid in-house cover band, the Hit Crew. The selections are decent enough, and the Hit Crew does an admirable job of replicating the various performances, but the collection really misses the point of its misleading Honolulu Party Music title. Sure, songs like "Hawaiian Boogie," "Gotta Get Back to the Islands," and "Soak Up the Sun" have an island vibe, but "Walk This Way" and "Funkytown"? -- not by any stretch. If you are looking for an authentic Hawaiian soundtrack for your pool party, this is about as far from authentic as you could get, but if you are too busy to put together a quick mix for your summer soiree, Drew's Famous Honolulu Party Music collection will get you by in a pinch (just hide the jewel case).
