Poorly recorded live demos with Long John Baldry from 1964 make up most of this collection, with Rod Stewart delivering serviceable -- but hardly startling -- vocals to blues standards by Jimmy Reed, Willie Dixon, and others. Dedicated Stewart fans may want this collection for the sake of completeness, and these tracks certainly have some historical value, but there is little here that truly catches fire -- that would come later with Jeff Beck, the Faces, and beyond.
