Raise the Plow is the second offering from this New York lo-fi post-punk group that exemplified the Matador Records sound. Like the debut, the second album is nothing outstanding, though it is notably eclectic for an indie rock band who would combine Delta blues, country, and Pavement's postmodern rock aesthetic to good effect.
