This handsome three-disc package wraps up two complete concert recordings, from the 1988 London Forum gig and the band's 1997 resurrection, plus a bonus DVD interview with the main man himself. As such, there's nothing here that the well-heeled fan won't already own and, it must be said, neither of the shows capture the band at anything approaching its live best. The earlier show captures the band as it approaches the final furlong; the later one is fun, but oozes too much nostalgia and might-have-beens to truly captivate. There was a time when Spear of Destiny looked set to conquer the world, and plenty of live discs are out there to prove it. This set tells you what happened next.
