AllMusic Review by

Even though this album is titled Chill House, don't expect anything that's ambient or anything that resembles the sort of "ambient house" tagged onto music resembling early '90s-style Orb. Rather, these songs are fairly straightforward house with any aggressive or harsh elements that sometimes creep into house refined, resulting in a smoother, more accessible sound. In other words, it's not very edgy and shouldn't rub anyone the wrong way. Of course, given the fact that it's refined and rather safe, it's also a bit lackluster. Sometimes that can be a good thing, particularly if you don't usually care for house music. Either way, there isn't anything here that is going to blow your socks off and convert you into a house-head. If anything, this will turn casual listeners away with the assumption that all of the style sounds the same. This isn't to say that the music featured here is necessarily of poor quality -- it's just nothing to get excited about, particularly since there's no shortage of better house albums on the market by proven acts.
