AllMusic Review by

A delightful collection of Brazilian bossa nova, the second volume in the Cafe Noir: Bossa Brazil series isn't much of a departure from the first volume. As one would expect with a Cafe Noir album, none of the artists are that well-known, though all are more than capable of playing some engaging music. Similarly, none of the songs on the album necessarily stand out, though there is surely enough variety here to keep listeners interested. In short, Bossa Brazil, Vol. 2 stands as a rather typical Cafe Noir album with its emphasis on the different sounds of Brazilian bossa nova. If that sounds captivating then this album shouldn't disappoint, assuming one is not expecting any sort of revelations here.
