One of the best Hard Rock albums of all time. Phenomenal guitar work from Angus and Malcolm Young and an equally phenomenal first appearance by new vocalist Brian Johnson. Rounding out the band is Cliff Williams and Phil Rudd. However, what makes a band is the music and "Back in Black" has got that covered with "Hell's Bells" and "Back in Black," two of the most recognizable songs in rock history. Even the slightly lesser known songs like "Shoot to Thrill" and "Have a Drink on Me" manage to maintain what makes the album so great.
The absolute best soundtrack to a musical ever. Runs the gamut of powerful and quiet, joyous and poignant, comical and serious thanks to the master class abilites of Hans Zimmer and Elton John.
A mix of some great songs like 7 Years, Mama Said, and Funeral and plenty of really formulaic songs. 7 Years is without a doubt one of the best modern pop songs I've ever heard with great themes and powerful lyricism by Graham. It's definitely the song that springs this album into a much higher class but the formulaic filler in the album detracts from it significantly. Overall, pretty solid.
