Lars Liljeblad's Album Reviews

I absolutely LOVE Reality, I think the album is way underrated in many ways. David's songwriting is top notch. (Bring me the Disco King, Days, New Killer Star) to name a few great songs, are instant classics!...the teaming up with Tony Visconti is another highlight of this album. The subsequent tour that followed also brought out how strong the material was...Highly Recommended!!

Diamond Dogs is an absolute masterpiece!, -- in every way, and I truly believe the album, for me anyway, is his best work. The concept, his songwriting, his multi instrument playing, all top notch and incredible. I truly believe everything came together perfectly on this album. His vocal range on the epic- Sweet Thing / Candidate / Sweet Thing is stunning. Unbelievable range & expression. The "anthem" of the album is "1984", and a classic that opened the legendary Diamond Dogs tour. Rebel Rebel is another classic, and a sort of farewell to the glam era. Future Legend / Diamond Dogs opens the great album, and sets the tone and mood. This album, to me, was way ahead of it's time...as are most Bowie albums actually..I Love David Bowie, and Diamond Dogs is a masterwork!

Another "classic" Bowie album. And, as a life long fan, I would honestly rate this album up there with the best of his 70's work. Some highlights for me include: "Sunday" "5:15 The Angles Have Gone" "Slip Away" and "Slow Burn" - all BOWIE in top form! Highly Recommended!
