No other Stones recording is like this one. This album was the Stones heavier response to The Beatles' popular Sgt. Pepper. Sitar music, mellotron fills, jazz flute solos for a Psychedelic, Trippy and Spacey sound. No Chicago blues tunes here. The original LP had a Lenticular 3d image that changed as you held the LP jacket at different angles. Songs Citadel has heavy riff, In Another Land is a dream theme complete with snores. 2000 Man and 2000 Light Years from Home are great listens with headphones. Sing This All Together is a jam. Other tunes are good just different from what you expect. Best way to experience this recording is to listen to Sgt Pepper's then listen to this -- it makes sense as the Stones were the opposite of the Beatles in the 60s. I enjoyed this recording quite a bit due to it being such a departure.
