AllMusic Review by

Eschewing the large-scale orchestral approach for which James Horner is best known -- and for which this brain-dead entry in the domestic thriller genre would seem ideally suited -- Unlawful Entry is a disappointingly tepid exercise in suspense that manages to generate virtually no tension thanks to its rinky-dink electronics and plodding melodies. Not exactly the most innovative composer to begin with, Horner seems bankrupt of interesting ideas here -- the music languishes without purpose or direction, employing sterile synthesizers that further obscure any sense of human passion.
