After much speculation about whether or not they'd make the jump, Source Direct's major-label debut finally arrived in the form of Two Masks, some of the pair's darkest, most accomplished material to date. A bit of a distance from earlier releases for Metalheadz, Certificate 18, and their own SD label, Two Masks (which also marks the first SD release available on CD) is chilling, cavernous stuff, with complex beat patterns, hand-fashioned breaks, and eerie, echoing atmospheres reaching deep into colleague Rupert "Photek" Parkes territory. Excellent.
