This is a rather dodgy collection of material featuring Art Pepper and Chet Baker -- who did record at least one bona fide album together for Pacific Jazz in the '50s called Playboys. These selections, however, are compiled from many sources, from sessions with Stan Kenton to solo dates with players like pianist Curtis Counce and bassist Leroy Vinnegar (for Lester Koenig's Contemporary label) to leaders of other dates that featured one, the other, or both players. This one is worth overlooking.
