AllMusic Review by

This LP is a grab bag of previously unreleased numbers recorded for the Spivey label and put together as a blues revue. There are many all-stars involved, plus fine supporting players including Sippie Wallace (heard on a remake of her hit "I'm a Mighty Tight Woman"), Sonny Boy Williamson, Lonnie Johnson, guitarists John Hammond, Benny Jefferson and Johnny Shines, pianists Sunnyland Slim and Little Brother Montgomery, altoist Eddie Barefield, trumpeter Dick Vance, singers Pat Blackman, Carolina Rose, Nita Washington, Little Sonny Parker and Delsey McKay, harmonica players Bill Dicey, Sugar Blue and Walter "Shakey" Horton, comedian Billy Mitchell and Victoria Spivey herself. Nothing essential occurs, but taken as a whole, it makes for an entertaining show.
