Somewhat belied by its title, "Solitary Flight" is the most romantic track Theo Parrish has put together to date, and it's also one of his most unique; in fact, many of those who have been put off in the past by the producer's raw, abstract doses of grit couldn't help but fall for it. Over a shifting rhythm that makes you wish for a second set of legs, Parrish overlays an elegant orchestral string arrangement that could've been taken from a '40s recording, along with a piano line that only adds to the heart-tugging mood. "Dellwood II" would play second fiddle to few other A-sides in Parrish's discography, but it only adds stature to this 12", one of the most dazzling in the Sound Signature catalog.
