If '70s dance music and '80s pop are your thing, and if you have a sense of childhood left in you, then marvel as the Smurfs do Abba, Bee Gees, and yes, even a "True Blue" take on Hanson's "Mmm Bop." Making a point to keep within the same boundaries that made its predecessor so successful, Smurfs Go Pop Again is jumping with giddy tunes and stories about Smurfs who yodel, roller blade, shout, take sunny afternoon walks, and in "Line Dance Smurf" not only engage in the forbiddenly square activity but also show off one of their most engaging tunes to date and make it sound pretty hip. Behind the music are lyrics with positive values that teach respect for different races, family, and in "Grandpa Smurf We Love You," the elderly.
