One really can't go wrong with any of the volumes in the Points in Time series as each and every volume seems to include nothing but amazing samples of the label's contemplative drum'n'bass. Points in Time, Vol. 6 is no different, featuring plenty of awe-inspiring moments of emotionally charged lulls in addition to the energetic breakbeat foundation that drives the majority of this music. As with every volume in this series, this particular record features a classic LTJ Bukem song ("Horizons") and also some other songs that have become some of the more popular drum'n'bass songs of the late '90s, the most notable being PHD and Conrad's "Progression Session." Each song on this record hovers near the ten-minute mark, taking plenty of time to carefully develop a mood before busting into its peak intensity and finally drifting in and out of multiple lulls.
