The second of two LPs taken from a 1975 tour by the World's Greatest Jazz Band has several fine Dixieland performances, particularly "Stumbling," "Runnin' Wild" (a feature for clarinetist Peanuts Hucko), "Big Butter and Egg Man," and "Hindustan." Maxine Sullivan takes a couple of warm and lightly swinging vocals while the rest of the band (trumpeters Yank Lawson and Billy Butterfield, trombonists George Masso and Sonny Russo, tenorman Al Klink, pianist Ralph Sutton, bassist Bob Haggart, and drummer Bobby Rosengarden) is heard on plenty of spirited solos and rousing ensembles. This album is recommended, as is the first volume.
