Christmas records' familiar melodies fill hearts and homes with warmth and memories. This CD is special in that Yuletide kind of way, but it also offers something worth playing long after the decorations have been put away--the voices of Doris Day and Dinah Shore.
Day's "The Second Star to the Right" is as delicate as fine crystal, while Shore's mellow and homey voice peals "White Christmas" with appropriate dreaminess. Added to this are exceptional appearances from other singers, such as Anita Ellis, Frances Langford, Ginny Simms, Kay Thompson, and Connie Haines, all singers of rare talent and difficult to find on CD. There's a sweet Peggy Lee performance, too. Their voices will still be filling you with happiness long after the presents are unwrapped.
