AllMusic Review by

This CD is a delight, combining two very strong adjoining albums in their catalog in superb sound. The closest things to big hits here were "Lucille" and "Lolita Ya-Ya," which got to number 61 on opposite sides of the same single in 1962, but that shouldn't prevent anyone from grabbing this CD; not only does it feature some dazzling virtuosity on the guitars and also on the drums, but the producers have thrown on three killer bonus tracks: "Wild Night," "El Cumbanchero," and "Lady of Spain," the latter two dating from 1963 and 1961, respectively. There are no notes, but little would be needed for a CD that's this much fun.
