Subtitled "The Complete Piano Music, Vol. 2," this single disc is the logical companion to pianist William Albright's slightly earlier two-CD Scott Joplin set, The Complete Rags. Included on this set are all of Joplin's works not on the two-fer -- collaborations with Arthur Marshall, Scott Hayden, and Louis Chauvin plus Joplin's waltzes and marches that are related to his classic rags. The music certainly does not consist of leftovers, and along the way are such classics as "The Crush Collision March," "Swipesy Cake Walk," "Sunflower Slow Drag," "Something Doing," "Heliotrope Bouquet," and "Pleasant Moments." Easily recommended to lovers of classic ragtime.
