AllMusic Review by

Of the seventeen performances from 1948-49 here -- all taken from the films Romance on the High Seas, My Dream Is Yours, and It's a Great Feeling -- only two ("It's Magic" and the title medley from Romance on the High Seas) were released before this compilation was assembled. That makes of it substantial interest to Day fans and soundtrack specialists, but it's not remarkable material, although Sammy Cahn and Jule Styne wrote the music for Romance on the High Seas and It's a Great Feeling. Day is heard with mild jazz backing on the better cuts; otherwise, it's the usual corny Hollywood ballad fare, getting silly on "Freddie, Get Ready," performed with the voices of the famous Warner Bros. cartoon characters Bugs Bunny and Tweety. Elaborate liner notes and photos enhance the package, though.
