AllMusic Review by

Irving Berlin was not a big fan of jazz, but since this fun set, co-led by pianists Bob Pelland and Bob Pilsbury, features soloists who rarely wander far from the melodies, there are a variety of instrumentations and moods explored, and the musicianship is excellent, he probably would have approved of the project. The respectful but Dixielandish date (which features such musicians as cornetist Tony Pringle, clarinetist Billy Novick and bassist Mike Duffy, among many others) has inventive and melodic jazz treatments of such obscurities as "I'll See You in CUB-A," "That International Rag" and "Crinoline Days," along with some better-known tunes.
