AllMusic Review by

A novel idea at least in theory, Hollywood: Camino del Amor is a collection of love songs from well-known Hollywood films, re-recorded in Spanish for Latin audiences. Titles are translated, and while the artists are not named, there are many acceptable recordings on the set despite the fact that there was very little of the budget dedication to actual studio production values. The big winners are “Beautiful Maria” (translation: “Bella Maria”) from Mambo Kings, “Unchained Melody" (“Mi Amor”) from Ghost, the title theme from The Rose (“La Rosa”), and even the theme from Summer of ’42 ("Verano del ‘42”). Some of these performances don’t cut it, but most work just fine.
