Like film music, Movie Themes are compositions taken from motion pictures; the difference, however, is that while albums of film music comprise actual recordings lifted from the features themselves, collections of movie themes compile different renditions of material, recorded by artists not involved with the picture. Among the most common examples would include Muzak renditions or recordings by a Pops orchestra.
