A ten-track budget compilation released by Sony BMG in 2005, Hall & Oates at Their Best contains major hits ("Rich Girl," "One on One," "Make My Dreams") and under-heard highlights ("Wait for Me," "Do What You Want, Be What You Are"), but it's nowhere close to being a fair representation of the duo's career. It does help indicate to the casual fan that Hall & Oates released a lot of great material beyond the singles, especially early on, but there are at least a dozen other compilations that do a better job. This is far too spotty and random to be recommendable.
