Johnny Rivera continues to inject the right dose of sensitivity into his salsa repertoire, the kind that paid off generously. Even in his late salsa years, that says a great deal, especially considering the lack of individual voices plaguing the genre at the time. Instead, the vocalist has an ingredient that is his very own, especially on tunes like "Perdón," "Guerra Fría," "En Estos Años," "Ella, Ella," and "Ven Dame Tu Amor." Romantically speaking, he is quite convincing.
