Sensitivity is the key element in this album, on which Rivera adds a rare touch of melancholy in tunes like "El Cristo de los Milagros," "97 Dias," and "La Cosa Más Bella." The production is top-notch, since RMM's somewhat overused musical formula has little prominence. "Que No Duela Este Adiós" is a bachata with a spark of unfulfilled longing, and a bit of tipico is fully prevalent in "El Cristo de Los Milagros" (composed by Ramón Rodríguez), rounding out an exceptional effort. Alternately recorded in Puerto Rico and New York City.
