AllMusic Review by

Though the artists included on Destination: Havana aren't particularly well known in the U.S., the music they play -- which varies from blues-infused salsa to pop to jazz to downtempo -- shouldn't sound too strange to listeners. And although the label Bar de Lune generally sticks to more electronica-based chillout albums, Destination: Havana explores more contemporary acoustic sounds, often with Latin influences and occasionally with elements of electronica as well. Sometimes the music does slide a little too much toward new acoustic/adult contemporary, but there are still nice selections and variety within the three discs, all while still keeping an overall relaxed feel. This means, however, that Destination: Havana is for the most part aimed toward listeners who are looking for a general theme, who find specific names to be unimportant, and who are relatively unconcerned about the very best that a city can offer -- or even what a city's most representative music would be. Destination: Havana is recommended for such casual listeners but might not be an ideal choice for those wishing to dig deeper.
