Designs and Mistakes is a thricewise cross between sloppy, jazz-driven drill'n'bass, Aphex-y distorto jungle, and druggy downtempo head music, each managed competently, but none managing to completely obscure the numbers from which their colors seem to derive. An unfortunate victim of electronica's version of Moore's law, the album's already a bit stale by the time the wrapper's off. Good for a mindless listen, but better passed over for something a little less contrived.
