AllMusic Review by

This double LP give one a good overview of trumpeter Kenny Dorham's recordings for the Riverside label. Most of the music from two albums (Jazz Contrasts and Blue Spring) is included along with three selections from Two Horns Two Rhythm, and one number apiece from This Is the Moment and an Abbey Lincoln date. The varied settings (which feature such sidemen as Sonny Rollins, altoist Ernie Henry, Cannonball Adderley, three numbers in which Dorham is backed by a harpist and a rare vocal by him on "Since I Fell for You") are well-programmed but since all of the music has since been reissued in more complete form on CD, this two-fer is less valuable now than it was when it was first released in 1976.
