AllMusic Review by

Exactly what it says it is -- though not nearly as bad as it sounds -- Bleed It Out: The Bluegrass Tribute to Foo Fighters is banjo, acoustic guitar, mandolin, and twangy vocals versions of ten of Dave Grohl and co.'s biggest hits, from the ten years between the band's 1995 self-titled debut and 2005's In Your Honor. There are some important tracks missing -- "Big Me" and "Best of You" for example -- but everything else on the album is a good reflection of the Foo Fighter's appeal. Who ever would've thought adding some fiddle to "Monkey Wrench" would be a good idea? The folks at CMH Records, that's who.
