Here it is, Big Eye's Tribute to Garth Brooks. Somehow the label's normal gang of Nashville impersonators -- The "Country Music All-Stars" -- have become the "International Country All-Stars"; they must've opened a franchise overseas. In any event, "the All Stars" stumble painlessly through a brace of Brooks hits, including "Friends in Low Places," "Two Piña Coladas," "Wild Horses," and "Thunder Rolls." The latter is probably the strongest here, although there are some nice harmony vocals and touches of fiddle and pedal steel throughout. However, don't get any idea that there's any amount of validity in this release -- it's looking for a quick payday, plain and simple. You're better off sticking to the real thing. Be you, be what you do.
