Quadrille
Quadrilles were country dances for four or more couples arranged in duple meters of 2/4 and 6/8. The quadrille included gavottes, rigaudons, pantalons, etes, pastourelles, and finales. Four or more couples danced to the quadrille and the music was adapted for popular tunes, operatic music, and church music as well.
