One of the hardest rockers on the fabulous Heyman, Hoosier & Herman EP, "Why Can't She See Me?" is propelled by a powerful and inventive, Beatles-inspired rhythm section that gives the song a locomotive energy from start to finish. The almost garage-esque quality to the guitars is set against a sterling folk-rock melody, which would actually work quite well in another musical context, even solo acoustic -- which would be very interesting to hear. Lyrically, like many of Heyman's songs, there is a great deal of urban/city imagery in the words, creating an evocative atmosphere for this powerful, multi-leveled love song.
