Bow Wow Wow

Sexy Eiffel Towers

Song Review by

An early effort at sensationalism by Bow Wow Wow in their Malcolm McLaren days, "Sexy Eiffel Towers" could well be one of the most absurd pop songs ever written. Verse one finds Annabella Lwin at the top of the Eiffel Tower, "the sexiest building left," with the idea of plummeting to her death, but apparently the idea turns her on, so she spends the rest of the song babbling about sex, including a recurring chorus that consists entirely of what can only be termed pre-orgasmic sex noises. However, it's important to note that Annabella Lwin at this point was a 14-year-old virgin, and therefore she sounds mostly like she's trying to stifle a sneeze. "Love To Love You Baby" this ain't. However, this is probably the catchiest song of Bow Wow Wow's pre-"I Want Candy" years, and it's also always good for springing on unsuspecting guests at parties and other social gatherings.
