"No. No. No." was released on the Mothers of Invention's 1968 LP Cruising With Ruben & the Jets. This doo-wop song rates as the most annoying on the album: it is completely contained in its first four bars, repeated endlessly. Here Zappa takes the simplicity of '50s pop to new heights. It is not more brilliant lyrically speaking: a man complains about his woman leaving him, all over a vocal background of "Boppa dooayyydoo." It seems the song was not performed live. "No. No. No." should not be confused with "Oh No," another Zappa song.
