Little Boy

Song Review by

Featuring the great La La Brooks on lead vocals, "Little Boy" is one of the more definitive Phil Spector-produced records of this era. A pounding, almost tribal rhythm and tempo drive the song, and its operatic overtones underline the fact that Spector described his records as "little symphonies for the kids." Although not one of Spector's biggest hits, its overall production and song quality render it as a great example of progressive pop music, circa late 1963.
