Written in 1976, "Jones Crusher" was a regular feature in Frank Zappa's live shows from January 1977 to February 1978. The fast-paced shuffle was sung by Adrian Belew. The story line is pretty simple and sex-oriented: the singer's girlfriend has very strong vaginal muscles -- enough to crush his "jones": "Jones crusher, jones crusher/Deadly jaws, better get the gauze."
The only true interesting feature of the song is the feedback guitar part that was recorded over the live tracks. Zappa liked to use "Jones Crusher" as a sharply contrasting simple tune after demanding numbers such as "Pound for a Brown" and "The Black Page." It was included in the film and album Baby Snakes, and the Muffin Men covered it on Frankincense. Nevertheless, the song did not make a strong impression on fans.
