When I first have heard of this album in autumn 2004 I stood on a ladder with a portable CDplayer, earphones on and a length of wallpaper in my hand. The CD was out of the back then new Spex magazine with various songs on it. My task was to refurbish the appartment where I’ve spent my childhood in together with my mother and brother. A one-horse town, a depressive monotony of everyday life. Merely the first chords of ’Neighborhood 2’ have hit me so deep inside that I have to come down, sat in the corner and shed tears. I’ve heard it twice and again. The rebellious voice has talked in private to me, it said: ’If you want somethin’, don’t ask for nothing; and if you want nothing, don’t ask for something.’ The effect of a tangible danger in the song expressed my feelings during the renovation of eighteen years of my life. It was like a booster detonation to me.
