Roy Stephen's Album Reviews

One of the most underrated albums of all time. After the baroque eclectism of Houses of the Holy and Physical Graffiti, Led Zep return to their visceral, blues-based roots, while somehow maintaining the scope and complexity of their later albums. Presence is an orgy of riffs and rhythms, from Bonham's and Page's very best work of their career in Achilles' Last Stand, through the odd, 'skewed' patterns in For Your Life to the stop/start drive of Nobody's Fault. Perfect from start to finish.
