This is Peter Gabriel's best work to date, and one of the greatest albums of all time, in general. It is not as heart-warming as So or Us, but even more imaginative, more exotic and more visceral than those best-selling records. The tribal drums of Rhythm of the Heat and Kiss of Life, the almost Depeche Mode-like sonic tapestry of San Jacinto and Lay Your Hands on Me, or the chillingly dark atmosphere of The Family and the Fishing Net stay with the listener for a long time. Deep, disturbing, emotionally charged, yet still very much accessible - Gabriel at his best. (Note: The album cover pictured on the page is that of the resung, remixed and rearranged German-language version. The original - titled 'Security' in the U.S. and simply 'Peter Gabriel' in the rest of the world - is sung in English, of course.)
