Any project heavily backed and produced by P. Diddy should be approached with heavy skepticism. Da Band's "Too Hot For T.V." is a prime example of this. While the musical tracks and beats are very well-done and the six members' flows are almost always on point, the lyrical content of the album is heavily mired in cliched themes and tactics, therefore making the album one that's not striving to be that appealing. While it is interesting to hear Dylan pop on with his reggae-ton lyrics, it's not enough to carry a whole album. As a matter of fact, none of the members stick out in any sort of way. They seem to literally go with the flow. Rappers need to at least try to do something to stick out so that way they can be memorable and stand out among the crowd. They seem to be there gathered in the crowd, hoping desperately that someone will notice them. Sometimes, it's just not meant to be. That's not to say the album is a total wash, it's OK, but OK is not what they wanted to be.
