I did'n know Avidan before listening this album and I have to say it is a great surprise to me. Asaf with his peculiar voice creates a set of superb songs. Musically he touches a lot of genres and styles, and produces a universe of deep feelings and sonorities. I strongly recommend this album.
To me, Once Upon a Time in the West is the best song ever composed by Morricone, and the rest of the album, even not touching this high peak, is very good, alternating spacious songs with other western tunes.
Youssou N'Dour at his top. This is "History", a really great album, with the artist singing better than ever, with piano and trumpets bringing the african rythm, low or fast, in a very equilibrated way. All songs in this album are good enough, some of them are brilliant, and the album as a whole is one of the best N'Dour has ever created.
