Formed in the mid-90s by brothers Kurt (bass/vocals) and Mark Koch (guitar/vocals) and Bryan Rosen (b. Detroit, Michigan, USA; drums), this alternative rock band soon attracted attention in and around their Orange County, California, base. The Koch brothers had played together from the pre-teen years and stated influences including Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Pink Floyd, the Rolling Stones, Santana, the Who and ZZ Top. For their live gigs, the trio is sometimes augmented through the addition of a keyboard player and a second guitarist. On early albums they had guitarist Andre Robichaud on board as well as singer Butch Say. Their later albums, notably 2004’s Fractured, have added string and horn sections.
