Artist Biography by

This New York-based folk-rock trio -- Bill Kirkland (vocals, 12-string), Jim Wilson (vocals, six-string), and Anne Willcocks (vocals) -- might have been a '70s Peter, Paul & Mary, if only the '70s had needed PPM. Their earnest, sincere lyrics and sweet harmonies were pleasing, and Kirkland and Wilson got the most out of their acoustic instruments in terms of hooks. They broke up after one album produced by Terry Cashman and Tommy West, but Willcocks was later the recording executive partly responsible for helping to secure CD reissues of early albums by Skip Spence, Gene Clark, and the Flamin' Groovies, one cool professional credit.
