Most notably recognized for his first book Your Erroneous Zones, Dr. Wayne Dyer has since been hailed as the "father of the modern self-help movement." One can hardly open a self-help book without seeing his name somewhere as a reference. He is a best-selling author of countless of his self-help psychology books, and their companion audio tapes, including: You'll See It When You Believe It, The Sky's the Limit, and Pulling Your Own Strings.
Wayne Dyer currently travels the lecture and talk-show circuit promoting his motivational materials. He was born into an abusive, economically disadvantaged family and spent most of his young life being shuffled between orphanages in Detroit. He attributes his strength, resilience, and ultimately his success in life to these painful beginnings -- and to his love of reading.
Wayne Dyer holds a Doctorate in counseling and psychology from Wayne State and the University of Michigan respectively. He has taught students from grade school through graduate school.
He is married, has 8 children, and lives in Florida with his family.
