During the pop-rap boom of the late '80s/early '90s, Vinnie Vin had a brief run at the spotlight before dropping out of the music industry. Vin had a breezy approach to hip-hop, rapping about girls and parents with a likable, profanity-free personality. After signing to Starway in 1990, he cut The Show Must Go On with producer Charles "Poogie" Bell. The record made little impact, and Vin dropped out of the hip-hop scene soon after.
